Dancers were accepted to the following dance programs -
Boston Ballet Summer Dance Program in Boston, MA,
Point Park University International Summer Dance Program in Pittsburgh, PA.
American Academy of Ballet Summer Intensive in New York, NY.
Goucher College Summer Arts Institute in Baltimore, MD.
DeSales University Summer Dance Intensive in Center Valley, PA.
Also one of our dancers has been awarded a performing arts scholarship to Manlius Pebble Hill School and plans to attend their program starting this fall.
Summer 2010
NYSSA – Three of our dancers were accepted to NYSSA, The New York State Summer School of the Arts. NYSSA provides opportunities for all New York State students who qualify through auditions to receive the highest level of training and instruction.
The eight Summer Schools of the Arts are directed and staffed by internationally acclaimed artists and companies such as the New York City Ballet and The Philadelphia Orchestra. Students work in small groups and in one-on-one sessions with professionals and with other students of similar ability. NYSSSA’s goal is clear: to provide intensive, preprofessional training programs for New York State’s most gifted and motivated young artists, those who are considering careers in the arts or entertainment industries.
The schools provide intensive training in an environment where students experience the rigorous discipline of the daily life of a professional artist. The program is open to all high school age students who qualify through auditions. NYSSSA represents the wide spectrum of cultural, ethnic, social, and economic that is New York State.
Canada’s National Ballet School – One of our dancers attended Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto this summer. Canada's National Ballet School is an international leader in ballet training. Dedicated to advancing the art of ballet, NBS develops dance professionals in a student-centered environment by weaving innovation and evolving practice with the finest teaching traditions.
