Dress Code

The Ballet & Dance Center dancers will present a classic appearance that is both appropriate and conservative while also allowing personal style and comfort.  We want to clearly see the beautiful lines of our dancers and not be distracted by their apparel!  All leotards must be simply styled with no fancy straps or ornamentation. Please do not wear skirts, warmers or any other accessories. 

Creative Movement
* Girls - Pink leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes
Hair - pulled neatly back away from face and off neck. 
* Boys - Black shorts or pants, black or white t-shirt, black or white ballet shoes w/white socks

Ballet & Modern
* Girls - Black Leotard - PrePrimary, Primary & Level A black short sleeve.
-  Level B, C, D black                      
Tights - pink footed, footless or convertible in good condition.
Shoes - pink ballet shoes, canvas or leather, which ever fits best.  Pointe shoes will require an appointment for proper fitting and our faculty will help make these arrangements.
Hair - pulled back in a classic bun.
* Boys – Black or white t-shirts (no logos or words), black tights or unitard, black or white ballet shoes.  Boys in Level B, C, or D must wear a dance belt.

Jazz & Theatre Dance
* Girls - Leotard - your choice of color 
Tights/Pants - black, or black fitted jazz pants. 
Shoes - black jazz shoes, with laces or elastic on sides, which ever fits the best. No Jazz sneakers please.
Hair - pulled back neatly away from face in pony tail or bun.
* Boys - Any color t-shirt fitted & neat, black Jazz pants, black jazz shoes as above

Tap
* Girls - Leotard - your choice of color   
Tights/Pants - black, or black fitted jazz pants.
Shoes - black split sole tap shoes.
Hair - pulled back neatly away from face in pony tail or bun.
* Boys - Any color t-shirt fitted & neat, black Jazz pants, black tap shoes as above
